Barcodes used by Wizid Pty Ltd are simply a unique identifier with structured information about the event, session, ticket & buyer types. Typically this information is printed on the ticket, credential or wristband in text format for the patrons to read, however this familar information is unreadable by electronic systems. Now with barcode reading hardware & computing software, the unique identifier of the barcode provides direct access to stored data & rapid retrieval & display of information. The barcode serves as a key to a database.
This information can be used for a multitude of purposes from verification that the patrons have the correct pass to the event or a specific area within the venue, to determining attendance loads through specific entrances, time in the venue & peak arrival times by differing groups.
Some typical applications where barcodes on wristbands are used for event security & data capture are :
- Confirming volunteer, service staff, patron & attendee identification.
- Controlling & identifying customer traffic at theme parks, sporting events, music festivals, exhibitions & trade shows, corporate conferences, media events & large parties.
- Recording security incidents
- Granting of meal entitlements & recording food & drink receipt, movement & consumption.
Barcodes on wristbands offer the greater security than those on tickets, credentials & passes as they are non transferable.
Additionally, we are able to enhance security when the barcodes are used in conjunction with individual photos on our Image wristbands. Please contact us to discuss your events requirements.
