Thank you message from Unique – The Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group

Wizid have just received a nice email :)

I just wanted to write to thank you once again for your continued kind and generous support of Unique. We are extremely grateful and as always the money will be put to very good use, directly supporting anyone with a rare chromosome disorder.

You may be interested to hear that membership of Unique now includes more than 400 families in Australia. Indeed, 2010-11 was a record year for new families joining us. Your support is therefore a huge help in ensuring that we can meet this increased demand and help many more families affected by chromosome disorders, both new and existing members, when they need us.

Thank you once again and best wishes from all of us at Unique.

UPDATE: another email from Unique 19th July 2011

Thank you so much for your continued wonderful support of Unique. We are thrilled to have just received a further $xxxx.xx AUD from Wizid Pty Ltd and want to assure you that the money will be put to very good use. Since we last communicated, member families in Australia have risen to 427, so your donation is very timely indeed to help us support them and our 8,000 other registered member families worldwide. The rise in new families joining us this year continues unabated, so we are very grateful for all the help we can get!

Wristbands for Wedderburn Christian Campsite

Wizid supported Wedderburn Christian Campsite for their Adventure Camp 2011, offering wristbands and advice about ID to help their cause.  We’re happy to say that the camp was a success!  Here’s what Russell and Julie from Wedderburn had to say;

"We are very thankful not only for your support but also the interest you took in finding out about the reason for our camp – this was very inspiring to us as leaders but also too our team of volunteers. People who care are a a great lift for worthy causes. The concept of the wristbands worked brilliantly and helped us as a team in general identification but subtly identifying kids for specific reasons (eg medication and swimming ability) I have attached a photo we took at our week 1 camp as a small gesture of our gratitude."
